From glass slippers to glass ceilings, Ballet Des Moines is proud to present its 25/26 season of transformation, featuring six world premieres, five choreographers, and the first collaboration with the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra on Tom Mattingly’s Cinderella.
Performances will celebrate the transformations that have taken place at BDM, illustrating the company’s extraordinary breadth and artistry: from beloved storybook fantasies to the dance world’s most powerful voices. Off the stage, the season will underscore the transformative impact of the arts, building on award-winning programs that are changing lives in our communities.
Driven by transformation and charged with energy, the 25/26 season opens with Forward, exploring what it means to evolve: artistically, emotionally, collectively.

Resident Choreographer Tom Mattingly establishes his new role at BDM with the return of fan-favorite Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.
