Ballet Des Moines accepts applications for male, female, and nonbinary candidates with strong classical technique for company, apprentice, and trainee positions.

2-3 full body dance photos that show body proportions and line.
Regardless of online submission or in-person audition, dancers are required to send a recent video (with no introduction or complex editing) including the following selections in form fitting dance attire:
1 short selection of classical repertoire, danced en pointe if appropriate.
1 selection of contemporary repertoire that illustrates the dancer’s command of a range of movement and artistry that contrasts their classical work.
3-5 minutes of barre work showing both sides.
3-5 minutes of center work including adagio, pirouettes, petit and grand allegro, danced en pointe if appropriate.
Examples of partnering experience are greatly encouraged.
All dancers should bring a hard copy resume, headshot, and dance photo to their audition. These will not be returned.
