Call for Choreographers

Ballet Des Moines announces an open call for choreographers for the 24-25 and 25-26 seasons. Applications from people of all races, religions, national origins, genders, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, and ages, as well as veterans and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Deadline for applications: 5/01/2024

Cover Letter briefly introducing yourself and your artistic vision
CV
2-3 links to excerpts of existing work
1-2 links of full works that best represent your work as choreographer
A brief project statement for 1-2 works you would like to create in the future. Please include details on the overall concept or inspiration for the new work, style of movement, music choice, number of dancers, and footwear (pointe, flat, socks, barefoot, etc.)
