Together, we are resilient.

As arts organizations around the world struggle to keep their doors open, Ballet Des Moines is bringing world-class talent to Iowa, creating fresh, inspirational art and sharing it across the state. For free. Beauty, inspiration, and hope are more important now than ever. Help us raise the tide, lift up local artists and partners, and ensure the future of our creative community. We can do it, together.

A Night at the Ballet

In a normal season, 50% of our revenue comes from ticket sales. If you had planned to join us for a night at the theater, consider donating the value of your evening as you enjoy our free, virtual performances this season.

One Costume for New Work

Every ballet is brought to life by dancers in custom-designed costumes. These creations are works of art in themselves, and take countless hours to make and tailor.

Pointe Shoes for a Dancer

The average ballerina goes through ten pairs of pointe shoes during one season. Your gift would secure a year of pointe shoes for one of our dancers.

Community Collaboration

Sponsor one of our local partnerships highlighting the wealth of talent and opportunity in our community, including Max Wellman and artists from Noce, the Belin Quartet, the Roseman Quartet, Iowa PBS, and more.

Educational Opportunities

If we can’t bring thousands of school children to a performance, we’ll bring the performance to them. Your gift will secure the production and electronic distribution of virtual educational programs to local schools.

Create New Work

Theaters may be dark, but our need for beauty and connection is greater than ever. Help us bring new, innovative works to the community as part of our virtual season programming. This gift supports choreography, costumes, production, and distribution of one, new contemporary work.
